 Kim Yoobin 23 · FIRE · lead singer · UNDETERMINED · jaejoong Quiet - While the other members of FIRE are chattering, Yoobin can usually be found huddled in a corner or curled up on his chair, watching with something bordering on fascination but with nothing to contribute to the conversation. Yoobin generally has a lot that he could say, but does not quite know how to put it into words. He chokes up under pressure. During interviews, Yoobin rarely ever speaks, and if he does it is usually to pass the question off to Ash. Bookish - School has always been one of Yoobin's great passions. He loves learning of any kind - history, language, science, mathematics, even picking up new songs and choreography. The more difficult the topic, the more focused and interested Yoobin will become. Sometimes he thinks he should have been a scientist, or maybe a teacher, instead of an idol. There have been times when he considered quitting and going on to higher schooling, but something always brings him back to performing. Shy - Yoobin is the sort who judges himself by the standards of others. He feels little to no confidence when dealing with other people, especially with strangers. Though passionate, he struggles to communicate his ideas and opinions to others. If Yoobin had a choice he would spend his time with his nose buried in a book, hidden away in his room and out of the way of others. Yoobin generally considers himself a waste of space, just background noise, even though he is the group's lead singer. Creative - Yoobin has been writing since he was very young. Lyrics just seem to pop up in his head. In any moment of silence or boredom, he will begin to quietly hum, stringing together words to follow a melody. Sometimes the drive to write his songs keeps Yoobin up at night, and his humming can drive his friends nuts - an interesting feat, considering how little he usually speaks. personality History - Yoobin was an only child born and raised in the busy streets of Seoul. His mother worked in the laundromat on the street-level of their apartment building and his father drove a taxi around Seoul every night. They were not a wealthy family, but they lived happily together, with their neighbors and their dog, Pepper. From the beginning, Yoobin was a shy child. He had one friend in the world - Oh Jung Hwa, the child of the neighbors across the hall. Growing up, Yoobin was always more interested in school than in making friends. He showed an affinity for music, but never put much effort into it until he got into high school. It was during freshman year that he started writing songs. From there, it progressed to singing. Yoobin never expected to do anything with that talent, until Jung Hwa dragged him to the Genesis Worldwide Search. Jung Hwa literally had to force Yoobin through the door, but the next thing he knew he was a trainee in the budding world of Genesis Entertainment.
